Doors are Opening for LSN Membership

Library Support Network is preparing to open its next chapter as a membership organization for the people and organizations working to strengthen public library fundraising.

Beginning in June 2026, public libraries, library foundations, Friends groups, and other organizations engaged in public library fundraising will be invited to join LSN through Organization Membership. Individuals will also be able to create a free Community Access profile to stay connected and take part in selected opportunities.

This next step reflects what LSN has been building since its pilot phase: a practical, peer-powered network where people who raise money, build support, and strengthen advocacy for public libraries can connect, learn, share useful tools, and build stronger support for their libraries.

Organization Membership is designed for teams, even if it is a team of one. When an organization joins, staff, board members, and affiliated leaders can participate under one membership, making it easier to bring more people into LSN’s programs, resources, peer learning, and year-round community.

Free Community Access will remain an important entry point for people who want to stay connected, learn more about the network, and participate where open access is available.

This launch is about creating a stronger year-round home for public library fundraising and a clearer way for organizations to invest in professional development while helping build the field.
